Virrick Park news
The Black Top Basketball Tournament at Virrick Park is back. There are adult and youth divisions (10 teams per division). To register or for more info, please contact park manager, Vicky Covington at 305-461-7213.
The first coaches meeting is today, March 15 at 6 pm.
The Virrick Park monthly meeting is Monday, March 18 at the park's computer room at 6:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
The park has some of the best indoor and outdoor basketball courts. They have great youth music and educational programs (in partnership with the University of Miami and the Thelma Gibson Health Initiative). There are also picnic areas for the family, and there's annual Music and Art Festivals open to the public, and they have a modern co-located Miami-Dade County Public Library branch and upon approval the future home of Miami’s first Venetian style Olympic Pool/Beach area (replacing their existing dated Pool). So come-on out and be part of your park and meet new and old friends.
