Opa! Acropolis is getting ready for grand opening
I'm excited about the new Acropolis Greek Taverna opening soon at 3484 Main Highway. I stopped by and met the owners. They were very welcoming and as we spoke I was excited to know that I would not have to make my usual trek to The Daily Bread across the highway or Mykonos on Coral Way, which I visit quite often. Constantino "Deano" Kastis, above, showed me around. The place is expansive and will have indoor and outdoor seating. This is a mural that runs along one side wall.
Sam Waez and Deano are proud to show off the menu for this, their fifth location. Other restaurants are in the Tampa and St. Pete area. They've won numerous awards and are known for their hummus, grilled octopus and Tabbouleah. Their full menu, can be seen here, it's quite extensive.
They plan a big opening party in a few weeks, we'll let you know about it when the time comes. It will be nice to see some life on that side of town.
This is one of the art reliefs outside the building.
