Award-winning chefs part of food village this year

The excitement is building as the tents go up on South Bayshore Drive in anticipation for this weekend's Coconut Grove Arts's Festival. This year, at the food pavilion, chefs showcase the hottest restaurants and hotels from South Florida, including popular local chef Giorgio Rapicavoli (left), of Eating House, and winner of The Food Network’s “Chopped," Chef Douglas Rodriguez of de Rodriguez Cuba, Chef John Richards of TUYO and the Short Chef, among many others.

Satisfy your appetite in the Global Food Village in Myers Park. With a variety of international cuisine on display, the Village offers something to please every palate. Created by Lundy’s Catering, the Village will include exclusive vendors serving a wide variety of culinary delights, as well as your favorite traditional "pushcart vendors."

Join Miami native Cris Cab on Monday, Feb. 18 at 3:30 pm, as well as other great acts like Charanga Tipica Tropical, Ramiro Aguirre y Su Orquesta Conexion Latina, “Original Latin All Stars” Featuring Cali Aleman, The Chirino Sisters, Orange Sunshine, King Guys Band, Jacob Jeffries Band, Elsten Torres, Insignia and Campo Deluxe Band Featuring Ronnie Brooks and Karina.

Festival hours are 10 am. to 6 pm, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Admission to the Arts Festival is $10 per person, per day. Children 12 and under are free. Residents of Coconut Grove in the 33133 zip code can enjoy the Festival for a reduced admission of $5 (proof of residency required).
