MACtown art show and taste of Grove event

Speaking of Galleries, MACtown and Rodez Art Gallery at CocoWalk are holding a charity event to benefit people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. It's called ART MACtown.

On Friday, September 14, from 6 to 10 pm, enjoy a tast of the Grove, local restaurants have donated food for the event: Cheesecake Factory, Jaguar, Bice and The Grove Spot. More are being firmed up this week.

Suggested Donation: $25.00

Spectacular artwork created by those served by MACtown will be on display at the Gallery during the month of September 2012. Each piece is an original, acrylic on canvas, 10" x 10" for sale for $50 and on silent auction the night of the Charity Event. All proceeds to benefit MACtown, Inc.

The Rodez Art Gallery is on the second floor at CocoWalk, the right side if you're facing the front. For more info: 786.467.7111.

The piece above was a collaboration of all the participating MACtown clients. It is called "For the Love of MACtown", and this is actually a 24" x 24", acrylic on canvas.
