Peacocks are disappearing again; 40+ disappeared
But people are claiming netting and poisoning. Crystal Court, Crystal Terrace and Natoma are the guilty streets.
The police and elected officials are keeping out of this Peacock caper.
"An elementary school teacher that lives on Natoma has been trying to run them over and made a lot of threats before their disappearance," says one concerned neighbor.
I would say, just be calm and the Peacocks they didn't get will breed and in no time, they will be roaming the streets again, that's what happened last time, they rebred really fast. You'll be zig zagging around them again in no time.

I want to know what lessons the poor little children are being taught by that teacher.
I can't say the supposed actions of the teacher are right but you have to sympathize just a little. Imagine finally getting home after dealing with elementary school children all day and just when you finally are about relax *bam!* Three to eight screaming peacocks in her yard.
That's a situation waiting to happen.
To quote some comedian, "I'm not saying it's right......but I understand.
My neighbor on 2625 Taluga Dr has been calling for these trappers to come pick up these beautiful birds for years. It breaks my heart. A few of us neighbors have tried to talk to him but he clearly has some haters towards them. I caught him almost whacking one with a broom one morning! We should go pick up some from the Redlands and bring them back! Its such a shame. Is this even legal??
Are you kidding? There are a gazillion peacocks all over the North Grove. Doubling in numbers every year. Just drive down Tigertail; sometimes the traffic is stopped for the peacocks to cross the road. I don't know where you got this info, but I doubt it's accurate.
I would much rather stop for the peacocks than the obnoxious parents picking up their kids from Ransom
I live in the north Grove and the peacocks have become a problem. We used to have foxes which kept the peacocks in check but a woman with more money than sense had the foxes removed because she had young children. The peacock population has grown rapidly since then. They may be pretty but the fact is they don't belong here as they are not native. I really don't like them, but almost as annoying as the noise and crash landings on the roof at 7am are the cars which stop for them. They will move if you keep driving. The birds will get out of your way, please do not stop your car.
The most annoying thing in the North Grove are the crotchety old, spoiled babyboomers. They are not native to the grove and do not belong here. Instead, they've continued to poor in here by the hundreds. They don't spend money or invest money in the grove, they only want to drive business away. They are also louder and more obnoxious than peacocks. They drive their giant SUVs around poorly, stroll slowly through the middle of the street, and generally act like they own the place. Do not slow down when you see them crossing the street - they will get out of your way...
the only thing disappearing in the grove is the clubs
Maybe we should get rid of the old queens, the artists, the hippies, and the peacocks as well as anything else that brings a little color and diversity to the community.
Let's just fill the entire North Grove up with tasteless Latino's and Municipal Govt. Bureaucrats living in newly built Mc Mansions. They can watch Burn Notice on their 60 inch Plasma TV's inside their compounds. It will be just like the rest of Miami...
