The Barnacle still needs your votes!

The Barnacle is moving on up the ranks in Coca-Cola’s “America Is Your Park” campaign. By voting at www.livepositively.com/parks or connecting your smart phone's Foursquare account and ‘checking in’, The Barnacle has a chance of winning one of  four recreation grants to help restore, rebuild or enhance activity areas in the park. The three parks that receive the most votes by July 15, 2012 will be awarded grants in the following amounts: 1st Place - $100,000; 2nd Place - $50,000; and 3rd Place - $25,000. In addition, a $15,000 grant will be randomly awarded to one of the remaining parks in the top 25 spots. Vote and spread the word!

Update - As of now, the park is in the 75th spot, and they're moving up the Leader Board. KEEP VOTING! There is still time left in the competition and believe The Barnacle crew believes they can get into the "Top 25" with your help.

They need everyone to help ensure that we make it to the Top 25 (and stay there) so they have a chance at the random park selection for $15,000. There's still plenty of time to register your votes. Remember that if you 'check-in' through Foursquare, after connecting with the Live Positively website, the park will receive 100 votes per check-in. Current contest rules allow you to 'check-in' 3 times per hour – about every 20 minutes with a maximum of 28 times a day. If you live in Coconut Grove, or the surrounding area, you should be able to secure the 100 votes through Foursquare even if you are not physically in the park, but you should be in the vicinity.
