Tribute to Marilyn includes look-alike contest

The Coconut Grove Retrospective Gallery, in conjunction with “Dress for Success Miami”, is featuring a Marilyn Monroe Art Exhibit called “Tribute to Marilyn Monroe” from November 11 to December 23, 2011

On Friday,11/11/11, they gallery is having a Marilyn Monroe Look-a-Like Contest, which is open to both sexes. Entry to the contest is free, and all persons over 21 must pre-register for judging by a panel of celebrity judges.

Tickets for opening night will be available at www.eventbrite.com at a cost of $10 per person. Proceeds from donations, raffle, and the sale of Marilyn artwork will benefit Dress for Success Miami, a nonprofit organization assisting citizens with outfits for professional job applications and employment.

Artwork by Andy Warhol, Russell Young and several other artists will be available for sale at the gallery, known for the largest collection of Pop and Surreal Art in Miami-Dade County, along with works by local, Florida and International artists.
