Christmasing up the Grove
Pearl and her crew from The Blond Tulip florist, at Mayfair, were setting up the Mayfair Christmas decorations this week. They created lots of new wonderful things that are going up all around the Shoppes of Mayfair, even the back garage entrance on Florida Avenue has some spectacular decorations to welcome guests. There are big wreaths all around the area. This one particularly huge wreath is going up above The Bookstore entrance.
The usual Mayfair Christmas tree is going up next week, so as not to interfere with the Art Basel goings on this weekend at the Atrium. The cool weather is making it feel very holiday-ish.
I found myself getting into the act by helping Louis Del Borrello, the Grove Ambassador (below), decorate his hut in the center of town (whether he wanted me to or not). He tells me that more than just the Christmas lights, he is going to add candy canes and other holiday items.
