Own a part of the Children's Mural Project

I've been driving by the new post office mural all weekend and each time I go by, it makes me smile. I love just looking at it and I see that others do, too. People actually stop their cars to check it out. It's turning into a traffic calming device. If you stand back and look at the whole scene, the mural with the colorful information booth on the corner really have enhanced that whole area.

And now, as part of the Coconut Grove Children's Mosaic project, there are four mini panels that were created, which are being raffled off. All proceeds will go toward the project and everything left over will go to schools and organizations in the area like Coconut Grove Cares, The Barnyard Community Center, Coconut Grove Elementary School PTA and Shake-A-Leg Miami.


The boat, starfish, fish and reef were created by the children involved with the project. Each piece is 30" x 15" and 1" deep. They weigh 45.5 pounds each, the back is pre-drilled and has special bolts (two per panel). These are from the same tiles used in the large post office mural.
Raffle tickets are only $5 each and $20 for five.

The drawing will take place on November 16 at the Coconut Grove Chamber networker event at the Sonesta Sky Lounge. You need not be present to win.
