Latin meets Jazz at The Grove Spot
The Grove Spot seems to be the happening spot on Wednesday nights, with their new Latin Meets Jazz night. Last week, the Andy Harlow Quintet drew the crowds in. This week the featured artist is Bobby Ramirez and the Pan Con Bistec Band.
Each week, different jazz performers play and the audience is able to participate by joining in. Many times, University of Miami students hop up on stage and take over, doing their thing. It's a jam session that anyone can join. WDNA radio coordinates the event.
The entertainment starts at 8 pm each week, there is never a cover charge. It's packed with locals but many tourists from the Mayfair Hotel across the street, manage to find their way over. The Grove Spot is at 3324 Virginia Street.
