First Bed Race Get Rolling Gathering is Thursday

There will be two Get Rolling Gatherings this year, leading up to the Great Grove Bed Race. The first is this Thursday, August 4 and the next one is on August 18. On September 1, at The Coconut Grove Bank will be the Captain's meeting, a few days before the race, which is September 4.

This Thursdays gathering is at Jaguar (3067 Grand Avenue), starting at 6 pm. Come by to get drink specials and information on the Bed Race. Learn how to make a bed for the race and sign up on the spot, if you already have not signed up a bed for racing.

Each member you bring for your team, will get you inches in the race! That's right, for every person you bring to this Thursday's Get Rolling Gathering, you'll receive one inch away from the starting line at the actual Bed Race. Bring 12 people and get 12 inches -- a foot head start!

Also, this is your first chance to get tickets for the Pajama Pub Crawl. The crawl will be limited to 500 people this year, so the sooner you get tickets, the better. They do run out before the crawl. You can purchase tickets after this Thursday at only two locations -- The Bookstore (3399 Virginia Street) or Barracuda (3035 Fuller Street).

Pre-sale tickets are $20, tickets at the door (if there are any left) are $25. There are 10 bars involved in the Pajama Pub Crawl.
