Bahamian trees?
One of my friends in Village West called me the other day to tell me that he and his friends were sitting around talking about all the hoopla that is going on about the tree massacre.
He said that if the County just called the trees "Bahamians," then no one would have thought if the tree slaughter twice, since in the Village West anything Bahamian-related is being annihilated.
Funny, and true, but very sad. In Miami it's always out with the old and in with the new. History has no place here. And in Village West, a lot of the annihilation in the name of progress is going on, too.
