Celebrating our birthdays together, like always
You all remember AnnaMaria Windisch-Hunt, she is living up in Lake Worth these days, but she's back and forth to the Grove all the time. Well this past weekend was our birthdays (the 21st and 22nd), we celebrate every year with our own little lunch, just the two of us. We've been doing it for years.
We went to the Peacock Garden Cafe yesterday and had a really nice time. We had one of the specials of the day, red snapper with the hot tomatoes (that's all the red you see on the plates), there were a couple of jumbo shrimp as part of the dish, too. Ernie, one of our favorite waiters took the photo of us. You can also see our reflection in the sugar bowl below.
AnnaMaria is working on a project for Father's Day. She is creating a Golden Coconut Award that will be given as a prize in the classic car show that is part of the Cars and Cigars Father's Day event in Coconut Grove.
You can read her blog daily here. It's called Lake Worth Every Minute. This is basically what I want to go back to with the Grapevine. I want to start covering fun features daily like AnnaMaria does.
