More on the food trucks

Regarding the food trucks debate, a Mr. Richard Mason, wrote a very interesting letter to the Miami Herald about them. He says, "The people who show up at food-truck events would never be there if it were not for the food-truck social-network marketing. They are not taking business from brick-and-mortar restaurants. Smart restaurant owners should be out offering samples of their food, menus and coupon deals to attract a new pool of customers."

He also said, "Government has it wrong again. It should serve the people, not throw up road blocks, curtailing residents’ choices and commercial enterprise." Here is the full letter.

It's hard not to agree with his reasoning. It reminds me of our lack of Bike Day this year, our local government never seems to have the tax paying citizens at heart. The taxpayers and voters always come last. Quality of life suffers because of this.
