Join The Kampong on Thursday, April 21, for the Kampong Lecture Series when Joyce Landry shares her trip to the Galapagos Islands.
Joyce will give an armchair tour of the utopian Galapagos Islands. Last May, she traveled on a once in a lifetime adventure aboard the National Geographic Endeavor, guided by famed oceanographer, Dr. Sylvia Earle. They visited islands that are becoming more and more restricted in order to preserve the sensitive habitats. Joyce will share her images and the stories she learned from expert naturalists about this unique ecosystem – where the creatures who call it home fearlessly share their environments with humans.
Joyce Landry, CEO of Miami-based Landry & Kling Inc. and her partner were the first to specialize in corporate events at sea. Joyce has held positions on several cruise line advisory boards counseling them on the meetings/incentive industry.
Ms. Landry has been nominated for several prestigious awards from organizations like the Athena Foundation, named to the Women’s Hall of Fame in recognition of Miami’s Centennial and is a founding member of the Deborah Natansohn Foundation.
The lecture begins at 7 pm, there is a reception at 6:30 pm. Please call 305.442.7169 for reservations or email:
