Adding trolleys to the streetscape

The City has a plan to use a new trolley system to connect the city to Metrorail, the Miami Arena, Marlins' ballpark, the Adrienne Arsht Center and other areas.

The Brickell/Biscayne area is on the route, and so is Coral Way. How about Coconut Grove?
The BID received funding to put trolleys on the street inside the Grove, but why not hook on to the City's big trolley idea and be part of that? The Gray Line buses are a success, bringing people in and out of the Grove, why not the trolleys.

These are "fake" trolleys, meaning they don't operate on a track or from wires above, they are buses retrofitted to look like trolleys, so there can be routes anywhere, there is no set route. Why not add Coconut Grove to the trolley line? Fares will be from $1 to $2 depending on the event, according to the City.

I think that when this is firmed up, the Grove needs to speak up and be sure we are not left out of this plan. The last time I looked, we were part of the City of Miami, a big part when you look at the tax rolls. We deserve to be treated like the rest of the City and included in City projects.
