New sub-committees forming at Village Council

committee
New sub-committees were formed at the Village Council on Thursday night. Right after the monthly Council meeting, the new groups gathered to meet and greet. Above is the Waterfront group, from left, Giana Levya, Camille DePhillips, Madeline Kraskin, Bill Wilkening and chair Michelle Niemeyer.

Other sub-committees include: Historical, Planning and Zoning, Playhouse, Ad hoc Mercy Hospital Committee, Ad hoc FPL power lines Committee, Tree Watch, CrimeWatch, Ad hoc PointeGroup Committee, which has to do with the planned development on Grand Avenue in the Village West.

It was nice that the Waterfront committee was able to meet right outside the Sailing Club (where the Council meeting was held), right at the actual waterfront. I joked with the Tree Watch group that they could meet up in a tree house in one of the trees.

There are still openings for anyone interested in participating. To join any of these committees, please contact Village Council chair Michelle Niemeyer at
