New Peacock to be unveiled on Friday
Nassau Daddy (shown here) will be unveiled at the intersection of Douglas Road and Grand Avenue at a ceremony on Friday, February 11 at 10 am.
The whimsical sculpture designed by local artist Rosie Brown is very luscious in it's nautical island beauty. The signature hat on top of Nassau Daddy really says "Bahamas."
The peacock is a tribute to the settlers of Coconut Grove's Village West in the 1800s. And it will surely add a lot of color and pride to the community.
To RSVP, please call 305-446-5150.
The group of fiberglass peacocks will be auctioned off at a gala celebration on March 16.
