Friday Night Wine Tasting tonight at Sonesta
The "Friday Night Wine Tasting Series" is hosted by wine educator Barry Alberts of Berries to Wine, Inc. The series enters its 19th year as one of the longest ongoing wine tastings in the country.
"Wine Portfolio of Zolo Winery-Mendoza" is the theme tonight. Zolo Winery was originally developed and owned by Jess Jackson of Kendall-Jackson fame and was named Tapiz. After some disputes with neighboring vineyards over water rights (money was no problem for Jess but was for everyone else) he sold the winery and did not venture in the Argentine wine industry again. The state of the art winery was renamed Zolo and is now producing consistently award winning and highly rated wines!
The tasting takes place at Panorama Restaurant and Sky Lounge on the hotel’s 8th floor, offering one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and Dinner Key in South Florida! The tastings occur every Friday night from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. Cost is $15 and reservations are not required. Each week will feature 10 wines by theme, grape type, region or country of origin and includes a complimentary artisan cheese platter. Along with the Tasting Series Panorama Restaurant & Sky Lounge will feature a special fixed price three course dinner menu.
Complementary valet parking is available as well as on the street parking in front of the hotel. There's also the "Wine and Food Pairing Dinner Series" and rare wine tastings and dinners. For upcoming tastings and information please phone Barry at 305 793-3120.
