Bringing people back to Coconut Grove
Coconut Grove is event driven these days, that's how we get people here. Last weekend's Coconut Grove Arts Festival brought thousands. Another event that would bring thousands also involves art, it's the street painting festival.
These photos are from the Street Painting Festival in Lake Worth this past weekend. We spent Sunday there. It was an incredible event. The art is amazing, all age groups are involved and the streets of Lake Worth were full of happy art lovers enjoying the art and spending money.
Picture this on a closed Grand Avenue or Matilda Street or Commodore Plaza and Fuller Street. There is not much involved except closing the streets.
Other events we would like to see are vintage car shows like the recent Volksblast event that took place in South Miami and of course, once a week, the gourmet food trucks would be a great idea to bring people into the Center Grove.
AnnaMaria Windisch-Hunt has better photos of the Street Art Festival at her Lake Worth Every Minute blog here.
