Lots of youth is part of Gallery Walk night
Last night's Gallery Walk brought out a nice crowd in spite of the fact that most art lovers were at Art Basel, Art Miami, Wynwood, Pulse, the Red Dot and all the other art installations in the county. The Grove has been drawing a young crowd and a lot of young artists, too. Edward Rossel de Jongh has art in both Coconut Grove Art Festival galleries. He is standing beside "Detector," above.
Here in the newer of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival galleries, Edward has two pieces, which you can see high up on the wall. You can see him checking his art work out here on Monday night at the Grove Art Basel event. You can see more of his work here.
Many parents have been bringing their young children out to teach them art appreciation, which is very cool.
Lots of teens have been appreciating the art, too. They have been showing up with their families, with friends and with dates. Here are some admiring a strange looking thing -- an old fashioned tv, with rabbit ears antenna, showing Elvis. This is at the AC Fine Arts Gallery. There's lots of pop art there.
And this little guy obviously knows what he likes. This is at the Rodez Gallery at CocoWalk.
