Music to fill the air for Gallery Walk
Tonight's Gallery Walk will start a little early with the award winning Jazz band from Ruben Dario Middle School performing at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery from 3 to 5 pm.
Peace Flags will be created tomorrow at that time as a children's project (adults welcome, too). Each flag is $5.00, the money goes to charity. The flags will travel to Panama City's Vision Quest Gallery and will be unveiled to support those impacted by the BP Gulf oil spill. They will then travel on to Haiti in 2011.
Stop by the Windisch-Hunt Gallery (2911 Grand Avenue) today and design a Peace Flag.
Later in the evening, from 7 to 11 pm, during the actual Gallery Walk, the Miami Conservatory of Music will present classical music with Andres Trujillo (violin), Ana Roloff (flute), Jose Alfredo Fernandez (guitar) and musical guests.
Enjoy music by Bach, Cervantes, Piazolla, Villa-Lobos and more. Look for them by the fountain at the back of the Mayfair Promenade. It's an enjoyable little world of class among the Art Stroll.
