Liliana Dones to do reading at Miami Book Fair
Liza's involvement with Mexico began in the late 80s, as a Fullbright Scholar from Brown U. doing doctoral research in cultural anthropology. That is where she and Lili met. Today, she is Assistant Professor of Research with the Center for Latin America Studies at Brown.
The book, published by W.W. Norton, was recently featured in the Books, Art & Culture Blog, Prospero, of the magazine The Economist.
The reading will take place during the Miami Book Fair International, on Saturday the 20, at 12 noon (Miami Dade College 300 NE 2nd Ave room 3315 - Building 33rd flr).
On Sunday, Liza dons her anthropologist hat to present and overview and demo of the fascinating Mesolore Project: a free, online Cyber Center for Research and Teaching on Mesoamerica, of which she is the Director of the Mesolore Project. The Presentation is free and open to the public on Sunday November 21, at 1 pm at the Miami Dade Public Library, Main Branch Main Auditorium, 1st level, 101 W. Flagler Street.
