The Coconut Players hold a fundraiser
The Coconut Players had their annual fundraiser in the South Grove this weekend. Over 85 people gathered under a full moon to hear Bobby Ingram, Elia Levy, and the Joe Donato Band.
Above are Cynthia Shelley, Francesca Violich, and Margie Samuels; at right Glenn Terry and Regina McFall met in the Workshop Cafe.
The Players is a Grove non-profit made up of King Mango Strut veterans. They formed last year to put on parades and other artistic events. If Friday night's affair was any indicator, they have a great future. Gushed one attendee, "Good fun and great music under the stars, Coconut Grove needs more of this!"
