Coconut Grove named "Safest Neighborhood"

The Wallet Pop blog, a widely read publication, reports that Coconut Grove is one of the safest neighborhoods in the country! Neighborhood Scout, a realty website, did the research. They based their research on FBI data from all 17,000 local law enforcement agencies.

The Grove was named the safest City in Miami and is one of the top 29 on their list.

According to the survey, we are 70% safer than all US neighborhoods, we rank 442 out of 7,685 big city neighborhoods; crime is 11.39 out of 1000 (we reported no robberies for the whole month of September recently).

And to top it all off, Coconut Grove was seen as being more sophisticated than 99% of U.S. neighborhoods, more nautical than 99% (this should help with Sail the Grove promotions), more walkable than 76% and more quiet than 75%.

So when you see Commander Colina or one of our NRO officers, give them a big kiss or hand shake or both! And you can thank the BID, Chamber, Merchants Group and everyone else who works daily to make Coconut Grove a great place to live. We can all be very proud today. :)
