"Wild About Kids" gala benefits Boys & Girls Clubs

Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade will be hosting its Fourth Annual Gala on Saturday, November 6, featuring a “Wild About Kids” theme at The Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove, (3300 SW 27 Avenue) The organization will honor Tennis Pro Anna Kournikova for her dedication to the children who attend the clubs and her financial support to the organization during the past five years. The gala will be chaired by board member and philanthropist Lana DeSimone.

The event will be co-emceed by Emmy Award winning, WSVN anchor Lynn Martinez and chef, TV personality Ralph Pagano, host of FLN’s Pressure Cook, who was also featured in TV’s Iron Chef & Hell’s Kitchen. The gala will also be represented by artwork created by world-renowned Cuban artist Emilio Sauma.

“The Fourth Annual ‘Wild About Kids’ Gala celebrates our continuous dedication to our kids,” said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, Executive Director of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. “The children in our community count on our organization to have a place where they can attend after-school and summer programs for studying, sports, mentoring and organized activities.”

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 7 pm, sponsored by Bacardi, a silent auction followed by dinner at 8 pm, live music by the band Private Stock and a special performance by the children from Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. Guests will have the opportunity to sponsor a child through $250 donations, with all proceeds benefiting the five clubs in the Miami-Dade area.
