Mad Hatter is perfect for emerging artists/students
There are still openings for artists and crafters for this year's Mad Hatter Arts Festival, which is November 20 and 21.
It's a great opportunity to show and sell your work. Emerging artists and students are more than welcome to set up a booth and share their work. The fee is $75.00 for a spot and students are encouraged to attend. While the sign up form says that 18 and over is the age limit, students are permitted to share a booth as long as they are affiliated with an adult or school. So this is a great opportunity to get new art out to the public.
Artists are encouraged to provide their own tents if they have them, but if they don't umbrellas will be provided for those that need them. And if you saw last year's event at the Mary Street end of Virginia Street, you know that there are plenty of shade trees, too. So this is a great venue to spend an artful afternoon.
The timing is perfect, right before the holidays, during bazaar season and this year, the Mad Hatter is not competing with the Fairchild Ramble, so they have the weekend to themselves where arts and crafts are concerned.
The sign-up form is here at the GroveHouse site, it's at the lower right, as a downloadable Word document. We're hoping to see lots of new artists, students and craftsmen this year.
