Grove Rescue yard sale benefits homeless pets
Today Grove Rescue, the neighborhood pet rescue group, held a yard sale and BBQ. They got a nice turn out. There's lots for sale and lots of neighborly visiting going on at 3072 Mary Street. Come out again tomorrow Sunday, October 24, from 8 am to 3 pm.
All proceeds will benefit pets abandoned and left to survive on their own in dog parks and residential areas in Coconut Grove. This little guy above is looking for a home, stop by and visit him while shopping around and consider making him part of your family.
Lots of people are bringing their pets by, there are treats and water for them. Ben Chandler manned the barbecue, cooking up some delicious burgers. There are also cookies and drinks for sale.
If you're looking for a Halloween costume, there is lots of clothing, even a graduation outfit. There are books, baby items, knick knacks, kitchen items and so much more. It's a great cause and a nice neighborhood event.
