Chamber luncheon held at Mutiny Hotel

chamber1
The Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce held a luncheon at the Mutiny Hotel on Friday. Atchana's East/West Kitchen provided the food -- buffet style. From left: David Guzikowski, Chamber Administrator; Sylvia Quinn, Mutiny Hotel and Nathalie Betancourt, Seaquarium.

Now this is freaky, at left is Jorge Peña with Peter Laird. Jorge is the original owner of The Coconut Grove Grapevine, when it was a newspaper in the early 1980s. I knew Jorge way back when, I used to do the typsetting and paste-up for the paper, that's where I got the name for the current Grapevine. I hadn't seen Jorge since maybe 1983. I recognized the name, not him, but it was such a nice surprise. His office used to be on Bird Avenue, above the laundry. That was the original office of the Grapevine.

At right are Atchana Capellini with Monty Trainer.

chamber7
Kent Jurney, Beatriz Newoom, Rob Cedeno and Vestalia Aylsworth. Rob owns Level Fitness Studios, in the same shopping center where Jorge used to have the Grapevine.

chamber4
Judy Campo, Kathy Kesler, Donna Sweeney.

chamber3
Nathalie Betancourt, Lily Diaz and Terri Jordan.

chamber2
Bryan Windmark, Mike Moore, Commander Jorge Colina, Sgt. Edwin Gomez, Monty Trainer, Tony Noboa and Sylvia Quinn.

chamber6
