As the Strut turns

This week, the King Mango Strut changed hands again, City Manager Carlos Migoya handed over the Strut to Antoinette Baldwin, previously it was in Glenn Terry's hands.

I have been staying out of the feud out of respect for both sides, I respect both Antoinette and Glenn and though it would be best to keep out of it and let them settle their differences.

I had heard rumblings that Antoinette would eventutally get the go ahead so I had been hesitant when Glenn would ask me to help get a committee togther for "his Strut." I thought it would be a waste of time for the volunteers, knowing that most likely it was going to Antoinette, and of course vice versa, if Glenn got the Strut, then the many volunteers who would work for Antoinette's team would be wasting their time.

I did go to their meeting place last Monday to see how Antoinette's team was doing and they were not at their usual meeting spot. I was told they were laying low, waiting for this very decision. Small town gossip is sometimes right.

Anyway, here is the Herald's take on it.

Stay tuned, because by the time Strut day rolls around on December 26, it may be back in Glenn's hands, who knows.
