Renewable Ocean Energy is topic of discussion
The next installment of the Eat, Think, and Be Merry! (ETBM) Science Café series is “Renewable Ocean Energy: Challenges and Opportunities."
Shirley Ravenna (Florida Atlantic University) is the featured speaker on Monday, August 16 at 7 pm at The Bookstore in the Grove (3399 Virginia Street).
This ETBM event will explore Florida's ocean energy potential, including how this renewable resource is measured and harnessed. Turbines, open ocean currents, and thermal energy conversion will be discussed.
ETBM provides a casual environment in which people can learn about ongoing marine research and discuss ocean issues, particularly as they relate to Florida. No science background is necessary.
