Mad Hatter Festival is back for another crazy round

mad2
The Mad Hatter Arts Festival is November 20 and 21 this year. Again it will be on a closed off Grand Avenue from The Bookstore down to Mary Street.

This year, all arts and crafts will be juried. There were some discrepancies last year, some felt that items were not handmade by those selling them, this year, it must all be hand painted or crafted by the actual artist selling in the booths.

Grove Bucks will be part of the fun, like last year. The to earn Grove Bucks is simply by wearing a "Mad Hat," whatever that may be. Like last year, the Mad Hatter committee will randomly stroll the festival and hand out the bucks to those wearing the hats. At left is artist Audrey Scott, last year as the Mad Hatter, in the craziest hat of all.

The artists application is available now
here, it's to the bottom right. The early entry deadline is October 29, 2010, the fee is $75, after that, the fee is $100 and the deadline is November 12, 2010. After the great success of last year's event, there will be more artists interested this year, and the timing, right during bazaar season is perfect for holiday sales.
