New Hospitality Ambassadors are working out well

You may have noticed the new Grove Hospitality Ambassadors walking around the village and based at the Black Information Booths.

They are part of the new program between Gray Line tours and the
BID. The Gray Line buses drop off tourists as part of their Hop On, Hop Off service and Ambassadors like Louis Del Borillo (left) greet them and answer their questions, as well as anyone else in town with a question.

Some tourists who are not part of the Gray Line tour ask about local bus routes and some ask about places to eat and they ask where The Barnacle is and things like that. Louis hands out maps and brochures and gives some great advice. He's got a great temperament and is perfect for the job.

Louis has kept many people in the Grove who normally would have left, he has intercepted people who have parked in the wrong spot, helping them to avoid getting a parking ticket, by having them move to a legal parking spot, he has directed people to restaurants all around town, places they otherwise would not have walked to or explored in the summer heat. Yesterday he directed a lady to the BID office who was doing business in the Grove. She probably would have walked around in circles looking for it otherwise.

AOL Travel filmed a little feature yesterday in the Grove, for some reason, they missed the fiberglass peacocks, Louis pointed them out to the film crew and they fell in love with them and made them the focal point of their film shoot.

It appears that the Grove Ambassadors are one of the best things to happen here in a long time. People feel welcome when a smiling Ambassador approaches them.
