Lizard Day and Snake Day coming up at Museum

Each Summer, reptile enthusiasts come to the Miami Science Museum (3280 S. Miami Avenue) for two special events: Lizard Day and Snake Day. Proud owners show off their pet reptiles and compete for prizes in a competition with categories such as The Largest, Best of Show, Most Unusual, People's Pick and Junior Herpetologist.

In addition to the pet reptile competition, guests will also enjoy a sampling of Insect Cuisine freshly prepared by a professional chef as well as an exciting live display and show of the most venomous snakes in the world.

Lizard Day is Sunday, July 18 from 11 am to 6 pm. Register your lizard now, registration is open until July 17. Snake Day is Sunday, August 15, from 11 am to 6 pm, registration opens August 1 and ends August 14. Register your pet by emailing gparks@miamisci.org.
