Happy 4th of July!
Coconut Grove is full of activities today. Come out, spend the day -- and night!
11 am - 4 pm: Traditional 4th of July Picnic at the Barnacle (Paid admission)
2:30 pm: Hot Dog eating contest at CocoWalk (Free)
Ronnie Brooks and his Coconut Grove band will be performing, too.
3:30 pm: Coconut Scavenger Hunt all throughout Center Grove (starts at Bookstore -- free)
You may sign up at the Bookstore, 3399 Grand Avenue all day up until the clues are given out at 3:30 pm.
PEACOCK PARK EVENTS
All day family Fun Fest starts at 2 pm
MC: Comedian Johnny Trabanco,
Live Music by Soi & Papi Shank, Fire Brigade, Ryan Stone, Special Appearance by ALTO REED, Grammy winning saxophonist and founding member of Bob Seger Silver Bullet Band
Special Appearance by LUCIE ARNAZ & DESI ARNAZ JR. @ 6pm
Kid Zone and Dunk Tank!
Bring it on Food Challenge: Lechon vs Wild Boar cook-off between Grove Chamber and Grove Rotary Club, results at 5 pm. Tasting samples sold for $4.00.
Food vendors and drinks including Samuel Adams beer sold at tents in the park.
Fireworks Grand Finale Extravaganza at Peaock Park - 9 pm.
