Nomade opening features "Dirty Laundry" series
As you entered the Nomade Gallery on Saturday night, you were greeted by a washing machine spewing bubbles. I was able to use my stale joke about doing my laundry. Earlier in the week, I dragged pillow cases full of clothing into the This 'n That thrift shop a few doors down and I used the same stale joke about bringing my laundry to be done. It was funny at the time, guess you had to be there.
The laundry theme was actually there for Charis Kirchheimer, shown here, Nomade's featured artist of the month. Her "Dirty Laundry" photographs were part of her three-subject exhibit.
Small bronzes by Catherine Bon are also on display throughtout the month. The Nomade Gallery is open daily at 3133 Commodore Plaza. For more info, please call 786-464-0289 or email info@nomadearts.com.
