Decked out in Red, White and Blue for World Cup
People on the streets were asking where everyone was yesterday between about 2 and 4 pm. All they had to do was stick their head into any bar and restaurant in town to get their answer. Thousands of people flocked inside to watch the Soccer World Cup games, particularly the US vs England, which ended in a 1-1 tie, which brought ear deafening cheers when the US scored the howler.
These photos were taken at The Grove Spot, but it was the same all over the Grove -- at Mr. Moes, George's, Barracuda, Sandbar, etc. The Grove Spot had a few hundred people in house during the game at one point.
The Brits like to claim that they invented the game of Soccer, but the US showed them they are just as good. The US plays again on Friday.
