The yearly right of passage called the Alfest came around last night. It's the largest bar crawl in Coconut Grove.
It's a nice crowd, all friendly happy people and that is even before they start drinking!
By the end of the night, a thousand or so people come out and drink (and crawl) for the cause, Camp Boggy Creek, a camp for sick children.
The crawl starts at the Sandbar and makes it way each hour to another bar on the list.
Tickets were given out for each venue and the crawlers hit the bars with tickets in hand at the appointed time.
The other locations on the crawl agenda along with the Sandbar were Crazy Pianos, The Tavern, Barracuda, Mr. Moe's, Flavour and The Grove Spot.
The crawl started early since most of the bars were full with people who had just watched the World Cup game. Unfortunatly, the US lost to Ghana 2-1. But looking at these faces, you would never know.
The crawl went late into the night, thousands of dollars were raised for the cause, and the Grove was flowing with people once again on a Saturday night.
