Sophisticated crowd drawn to Cristina Chacon
Cristina Chacon and Rafael Espitia stand among the patrons at Rafael's art opening at the Cristina Chacon Gallery (3162 Commodore Plaza) on Saturday night.
The Cristina Chacon Gallery, along with the Nomade Gallery across the street, have an air of sophistication about them, they bring a South American meets European meets New York crowd to Coconut Grove on Gallery nights, they are great places to meet new people.
Some of Rafael's art mimic's the people in the crowd, their happiness, their facial expressions, the whole feel. His art, along with others include German Tessarolo, Armando Villegas, Ruth Bloch, Thomas Lizarraga and more, are part of this month's "Iluminata" show.
The Cristina Chacon Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm and Saturday from 2 to 6 pm and always by appointment by calling 305-442-2884.
