Pan Am is still on a lot of people's minds

The Seattle Post Intelligencer has an interesting blog entry regarding Pan Am, Dinner Key and the bond between Alameda Point in California and the trans Pacific routs, during the "golden age of aviation history."

And here is a nice recollection of a bygone era by Robert C. Mikesh called "Clipper Connection." There are a few nice vintage photos there, too.

The Pan Am Historical Foundation is still trying to find a suitable location for a Pan Am Museum at or near Dinner Key. Areas in the Center Grove have been suggested, even the old Borders Books location, but Dinner Key, the original location would be best. You would actually be able to look at photos and then step outside and see the same or similar scene/buildings.
