"RehabiliHaitian" at Mutiny was a crowd pleaser
They sure know how to throw a party at the Mutiny Hotel. Last night was proof. The "RehabiliHaitian," a sundown to midnight fundraiser brought out the crowds, just like the last fundraiser for Haiti at the Mutiny; many from South Beach.
Suggested donation at the door was $20.00 and for that there was an open bar, delicious Thai food from Atchana's East/West Kitchen and lots of items at the silent auction tables.
Music played all night at the pool deck, where the crowd gathered to mix and mingle. Haitian dancers performed, as well.
All monies raised went to 1st & Alton's ongoing Haiti Food Distribution programs and A Proposed Pediatric Amputee Rehabilitation Center. Almost $20,000 was raised on this one night!
Grey Goose provided the vodka, Bombay Sapphire provided the gin, so everyone drank up and enjoyed themselves. Lollyland Bakery, in Coral Gables, donated all the cupcakes.
While there were a lot of Grovites in attandance, most guests were from outside the area, which just proves that if you throw a party that people want to attend, they will come to Coconut Grove for that party.
