Officer Carillo is Chambers "Officer of the Quarter"

Each quarter, the Chamber of Commerce will be giving an award to the "Police Officer of the Quarter" to an officer in the district who has done something out of the norm for the community.

Officer Leo Carrillo received the award this quarter.

On the certificate it says: "Officer Carrillo exemplifies community service. During the first quarter of this year officer Carrillo began and concluded a self initiated beautification project for both Peacock and Myers Park . Officer Carrillo developed an operational plan for his project and stayed true to the timetable he set for himself. Officer Carrillo was relentless in his in his pressure on the parks department to properly clean and maintain the parks. Officer Carrillo personally supervised many of the parks employees to ensure his expectations were met. Lastly, Officer Carrillo paid out of his own pocket to have the shoreline completely cleaned in the peacock park area."
