Kids thrilled with their new peacock

This morning, the kids at St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School were surprised with the Peacock that the school is sponsoring.

For a few days a huge, top secret box sat in the middle of the courtyard, which had the school buzzing. Then this morning at 8:00 am, it was all unveiled.

Silvia Larrauri, head of the School and Illeana Nardo, art teacher, were behind this great opportunity to teach the students about art in public places. Ms. Nardo will be bringing the students to the Peacock Gallery at the Mayfair Promenade to see the artists at work on the many peacocks that are part of the Coconut Grove Peacock Tour.
