Does Village Council care about neighborhoods?
It is said that if you look at the agendas, they are all geared towards the Center Grove businesses and not geared at all towards the neighborhoods.
The North Grove neighbors particularly are concerned about this and for that reason, they refuse to attend Village Council meetings, they are unable to get even one person to attend to report back to the homeowner groups.
Village Council member, Stephen Murray, felt that since there were more people who voted in the last Village Council election, that people do feel involved enough to vote and in turn, the voters had a chance to vote for those who they felt would favor them or the neighborhoods.
But again, if the whole Village Council is thought to be for businesses and the Center Grove business district only, what is the difference who one votes for? It would be assume that people are voting for the lesser of other evils.
But again, we feel that if the neighbors don't show up at Village Council meetings and don't request certain items be added to the agenda, regarding their own and their neighbors' concerns, how will the minds ever meet?
We have said it before: The Village Council members are neighbors, too. They do care what happens in the neighborhoods. They live in the neighborhoods, too!
