Harry Emilio Gottlieb takes over Film Office

Lights, camera, action . . . As of March 1, Harry Emilio Gottlieb is the new Director of the Miami Film Office. Harry has always been a supporter of the arts. While I hated to see my friend Robert Parente go, I am excited to see what Harry will bring to this position.

He has over 30 years of media experience. His background includes radio, TV, print, marketing, new business development, sales, public relations, community relations and special events. He is a photographer for historian Arva Moore Parks. Harry has also served on the Miami Code Enforcement Board. He is a community activist that has championed various efforts to benefit the city. He also had the distinction of serving on the Miami International Film Festival Executive Committee for six years.

Harry is looking for creative ideas, comments and suggestions from everyone. Volunteers and interns will also be considered to help provide better service to the local film industry and grow with the Miami Film Office. You may reach Harry at
hgottlieb@miamigov.com

A statement coming from the Film Office: "The Miami Film Office recognizes and greatly appreciates all the good work that Robert Parente has contributed over the years. Our local film industry and City of Miami have benefited greatly by his creativity, passion and successes. His legacy is well established. As a dedicated champion of the film industry Parente’s support of filmmakers and the Miami’s Film Office will no doubt continue."
