"Godspell" plays to sold out audiences
Plymouth Congregational Church presented the musical "Godspell" over the weekend. There were two performances.
The performances, featuring the Plymouth Players (congregation members) were accompanied by musical director Dr. Robert Heath and staged and directed by Judy Niblock, Associate for Education and the Arts. You may recognize some of your neighbors here.
It's interesting that this is so close to the Coconut Grove Playhouse, where nothing has been done yet in regard to the reopening. "Godspell" played to full houses, only proving that there is an audience for stage productions in Coconut Grove.
The two performances at The Kampong also sold out this weekend and so did "Stories from the Sidewalk" at the Abanico Theater, which will be performed two more weekends.
After the weekend performances, people went to restaurants in the Grove including Greenstreets, Georges's, Calamari, Mr. Moe's, Focaccia and The Ivy.
