Cut-A-Thon raises $$$ for charity
We ran into artist Erika King as she was leaving the Ugo Di Roma Salon on Florida Avenue yesterday. The salon along with The Gold-Diggers, Inc. had a Cut-A-Thon for charity.
There were cocktails and cupcakes and a DJ, which could be heard up and down the block, drawing lots of folks who got their hair cut for charity.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Florida and The Food for Life Network were the beneficiaries.
People came and went all day, and they were still cutting lots of hair even after the 4:00 pm cut off point (cut off, get it?).
It was a very successful event.
Erika, by the way, is one of the artists painting one of the peacocks for the Peacock Tour.
