City Manager to resign

According to the Miami Herald, City Manager
Pete Hernandez will resign.

Can't say I blamed him, the city is a total mess, financially and, well, just about every other way, too.

It's better to resign then to be fired.
More gentleman like, if there were ever such a thing.

may not have been his choice to resign...we can thank Manny Diaz for the mess he left behind.

Sorry to hear that. Pete is a class act, and a very nice person. The fact that the City of Miami is a disastrous mess can't be blamed on any one person. Lots of people have been involved in making it that way for a very long time, including the people at the helm who eventually would have fired him if he didn't resign.

Pete is a nice guy. Just because he is nice does not mean he should be held responsible.

MIAMI HERALD HEADLINE:
"CHANGE AMID A MONEY MESS" http://www.miamiherald.com/news/miami-dade/story/1490193.html

It would be more accurate for the headline to read:
"CHANGE AMID A MANNY MESS"

Let’s hope that Larry Spring and Pete Hernandez have proof indicting who is really culpable. Then perhaps justice will be served. The buck began, ended and stopped at the desk of Manny Diaz.

Manny Diaz was the boss for the past eight years. Manny Diaz controlled every decision. It is too bad Larry Spring and Pete were too weak or too naive to say No. Perhaps they lacked the ability to run a city? Bankruptcy looms.

I think it's called the "chicken run"..
It's when all the dirty birds fly the coop to avoid the not so pleasant consequences of staying.

Now if we only could only get rid of the bigest chicken shit of all!

631 days and counting!!!!
