This is what I'm talking about. Can you imagine how the individual or some small group will react to not being in the 1st 20. They come, they wait, they anticipate and nothing. If I remember, some new business about 3/4/5 months ago offered free food and ran out immediately. People were standing around aimlessly, waiting for the handout. So I won't mention the business, in part, because I'm not sure, but the point remains; I think I read in the Grape where that business/restaurant/bar is about to go out of business. Stop this foolishness folks and come up with something that will sustain. It is my opinion these cheap tricks harm more than help. In the end people get nothing by driving into the Grove or walking into the Grove other than some cheap expectation at nothingness. Sorry, but a 25 cent picture of beer amounts to nothingness.
Dear Jobie,
While we appreciate your feedback, we would like to vocalize that our drink specials, Tuesdays nor any other night, are never intended to harm or discourage business. Rather, we would like to offer our customers cheap drinks prices all night long. As you can see, if an "individual or some small group" does not recieve one of the 20 25-cent pitchers, there are cheap alternatives including a $1 can of beer, and subsequently a $2 can of beer, which we believe to be a bargain. We provide a fun, laid back atmosphere with cheap drinks every night of the week, and encourage you to stop by and give us a try!
Thanks,
Boardwalk Tiki Bar
My comment was as a consumer. An auto dealership advertises a vehicle at a truly great discount, but it's sold when you get there.
A store advertises what appears to be a great offer, but when you get there they sold out their limited offer. It's a great vacation package, but after you add in the add ons; not such a great deal.
My comment was extremely specific and in no way reflects upon your offer. Rather, I referred specifically to those customers, specifically, who show up and who actually, in reality, feel disappointed. It happens so much, across the board in America I wondered out loud in this blog if that was somehow a positive or a negative, i.e., people being disappointed and used another example of a business who offer free food and the next day there were numerous negative comments in the Grape. There's now talk of that business closing their doors. I don't drink in public, but thank you for the offer. Again, absolutely no reflection on your intent, it's a very good offer.
Grape - like a drunk at a bar - YOU MUST CUT JOBIE OFF!!!
Let it all out anon 10:46 cause envy will kill ya heart and soul.
