They giveth and they taketh away

Interestingly enough, the new sidewalk that was put in on the side of the post office, on McDonald Street, actually took away the spaces of the metered parking spots that were there. Just what we don't need, less parking spaces in the Grove.

I was also surprised to see them gone, that was my alternative parking space. Officials at work creating more efficiency!

Here's the twisted logic behind the reducing parking. The sidewlk was moved to make room for a planter next to the wall of the post office to plant vines to cover the wall and prevent graffiti. Here's a novel idea, how about arresting the graffiti artists, who any police gang squad member can tell you who they are.
Another example of your tax dollars being used in a stupid way to cover up poor enforcement of existing laws.

I thought under M21 this was the "pedestrian friendly" part

The whole issue over lack of parking is a farce! C-nut Grove has plenty of parking. The problem is with people not wanting to walk a block-or-two.

So a few spaces of parking were taken away, big deal. Now people have a sidewalk instead of walking on the street. Also I think the plant vines are a great idea. I think the cops have bigger tasks at hand than to catch a graffiti artist and you don't have to be in a gang to spray graffiti.
